Although they air on 2 different networks in the UK, in the US Gotham and Lucifer both air on Fox, hence them releasing this ‘mashup’ trailer for both show’s upcoming seasons.

Gotham season 3 will see Bruce (David Mazouz) & Alfred (Sean Pertwee) dig deeper into the mysterious Court Of Owls, whilst Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) turn his hand to bounty hunting, as he tries to locate Hugo Strange (BD Wong). Meanwhile, Bullock (Donal Logue) and Captain Barnes (Michael Chiklis) are having to try and round up the escapees from the Indian Hills facility, and reporter Valerie Vale (aunt of Vicki Vale, played by Jamie Chung) arrives at the Gotham Gazette, determined to uncover the truth behind the Indian Hills breakout.

Gotham showrunners have confirmed this season will see a host of new proto-villains, including Killer Croc and Solomon Grundy, Mad Hatter aka Jervis Tetch, Talon – the assassin of the Court Of Owls, the return of Jada Pinkett Smith’s Fish Mooney, and a new grown-up version of Poison Ivy played by Maggie Geha.

Over on Lucifer season 2, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is having mummy issues, which means he has to put aside his differences with his brother Amenadiel (DB Woodside) and locate their mother Charlotte (Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer), who has escaped from Hell… Lucifer’s work with the LAPD also is upended when the police force hires Ella Lopez (Aimee Garcia – Rush Hour, Dexter), a smart, tough forensic scientist whose mutual belief in both faith and science proves a point of interest to Lucifer. Also making an appearance this season is Soprano’s alumni Michael Imperioli as the angel Uriel, brother to Lucifer and Amenadiel.

Lucifer should return to Amazon Prime in the UK on the 20th September 2016. Gotham may return to Channel 5 in the Autumn, but it’s more likely they will continue the pattern from last year, and hold it till January 2017 to remove all the US scheduling breaks.
