As we head into the Easter holiday, Geektown Radio is not stopping, as we bring you all the latest TV & Film news, plus we catch up with one of Hollywood’s most prolific composers, Alec Puro.

For those of you into your heavy metal, you might know Alec from his days with the California band Deadsy. Since they went on ‘indefinite hiatus’ in 2007, he has grown the composing side of his career, scoring over 40 films, thousands of hours of television, and countless advertisements. He is probably best known for scoring the hit US drama The Fosters, and the vigilante dark comedy Sweet/Vicious along with films such as The Art Of Getting By starring Emma Roberts and Freddie Highmore, and Higher Ground starring Academy Award Nominee Vera Farmiga.

A veteran of the indie film world, he recently composed the music for the upcoming comedy All Nighter, starring Emile Hirsch and Academy Award Winner (and new Commissioner Gordon) J.K. Simmons, and A Happening of Monumental Proportions, actress Judy Greer’s directorial debut starring Katie Holmes, Allison Janney and Rob Riggle.
