The Joy Of Techs Comes To Dave In May, Starring Marcus Brigstocke & Alexis Conran
The brilliant Marcus Brigstocke has himself a brand series on Dave, along side his best mate, gadget-obsessed actor & broadcaster Alexis Conran, called ‘The Joy Of Techs‘, which starts on Tuesday, 30th May 2017 at 8pm.
The new series, which starts with a double-bill, sees the duo roving the UK, pitting themselves against each other as they tackle classic scenarios, hobbies and games from opposite ends of the spectrum, and put the world’s top gadgets to the test.
Alexis is a technophile who has everything. Marcus has his old school kit. Will Alex be able to make Marcus fall in love with tech, or can retro savvy ever win the day? Alexis tries to convince Marcus technology is the way forward while Marcus is sure the old way is best and will do everything in his might to prove he’s right.
In the first of the double-bill, Alexis tries to convince Marcus that technology is a bonus when attempting a cross-country adventure in the French Alps. Alexis has inflatable snow shoes, a pair of awesome snowbikes and an actual jet pack, but what will Marcus make of his suspicious-looking wireless wand ‘massager’? Next Alexis tries to convince Marcus that technology will help them survive even the end of the world by forcing him to live ‘off grid’. They might have a fire-starting, ultra-powerful torch, a water filter that may or may not make Marcus’ urine drinkable and a six foot tall robot spider that fires huge foam bullets. But how will they cope when under attack from a pack of apocalyptic zombies?!
