NCIS:LA Press Interview – Eric Christian Olsen & Daniela Ruah at MCM Comic Con London – May 2017

by Dave Elliott

After 3 days of lovely weather, fun and cosplay, I’m now back a Geektown HQ, with a mountain of videos and audio to edit over the next few days for your enjoyment! The next one we have for you was a highly entertaining chat with NCIS:LA stars Eric Christian Olsen & Daniela Ruah!

Eric Christian Olsen is best known for playing Detective Marty Deeks on ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’, but has popped up in a number of shows such as Tru Calling, Brothers & Sisters, and Community over the years. He also had the enviable task of follow Jim Carrey in the role of  Lloyd, in the Dumb and Dumberer prequel When Harry Met Lloyd… I only bring that up as it is mentioned in the interview!

Daniela Ruah stars as NCIS Special Agent Kensi Blye on ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’, who is partnered with Deeks after her former partner is killed in the line of duty. Their work partnership develops into a personal one, which sees the pair start dating. In the interview she discusses the number of curve balls which have been thrown at her character over the years, and the development of the relationship with Deeks.

This was such a fun interview as they clearly get along in real life… which is helpful, given Daniela is married to Eric’s brother David, who also works as his stunt double on the show!

And if you’re wondering what they are looking at in the photo, the table was unfortunately placed underneath an air con system which has condensation collecting on it, and was dripping… Although Eric gallantly offers to move in the video, what you don’t see was that he arrived first, and originally sat on the right, but moved, as he thought it would be funnier for Daniela to be dripped on. :D

NCIS:LA airs on Sky 1 in the UK.
