The next video in our series from MCM Comic Con London this weekend features the one and only KJ Apa (swoon), aka Archie, from Greg Berlanti’s brilliant ‘Riverdale‘.
For those of you yet to catch the show, ‘Riverdale’ is a show which takes it’s Archie comic book source material, and filters it through a much darker lens. KJ take the lead as Archie Andrews, the ‘all-American teen’, as he returns to school after the summer break. Unfortunately, tragedy has hit the town in the intervening months, after the tragic death of high school golden boy Jason Blossom… But was his death an accident, or is there something more sinister afoot?..
Before landing the role on ‘Riverdale’, New Zealand native KJ starred as Kane in prime-time soap NZ soap ‘Shortland Street’. In the interview, he talks about Archie’s relationship with Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica (Camila Mendes), and his father Fred, played by 90210’s Luke Perry. He also drops a couple of hints about what direction we might see his character take in Season 2!
