Netflix Renews ‘Friends From College’ For Season 2

by Dave Elliott

Netflix has renewed the comedy series Friends From College for a 2nd season it has been announced.

Keegan-Michael Key (Ethan), Cobie Smulders (Lisa), Annie Parisse (Sam), Nat Faxon (Nick), Fred Savage (Max) and Jae Suh Park (Marianne) star as a group of friends from Harvard who are facing down their forties. With interwoven and often complicated relationships with one another, the show is a comedic exploration of old friendships, former romantic entanglements and balancing adult life with nostalgia for the past.

The show took a bit of a (rather unnecessary, in our opinion) mauling from critics when it was released, however, it seemed to land much better with the general viewing public, hence the renewal. Season 2 will consist of 8 episodes, the same as Season 1.

‘Friends From College’ is executive produced by Nicholas Stoller (‘Bad Neighbours’, ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’, ‘Get Him to the Greek’), who also directed all eight episodes. Francesca Delbanco serves as an EP and writer.

No news on when Friends From College‘ Season 2 will air yet, but we’re expecting it to land at some point in 2018.
