Sky Atlantic Sets October UK Air Date For The Return Of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’

by Dave Elliott

Sky Atlantic has announced the long awaited return of Larry David’s ground-breaking comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm is over, as the series airs in the UK from Monday, 2nd October 2017, the day after its broadcast in the US.

‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ stars ‘Seinfeld’ co-creator Larry David as himself in an unsparing, but tongue-in-cheek depiction of his life. Shot in a vérité style and featuring celebrities playing themselves, the episodes are improvised by the actors from an outline created by David. The series also stars Cheryl Hines as Larry’s ex-wife Cheryl, Jeff Garlin as David’s manager Jeff, Susie Essman as Jeff’s wife Susie and JB Smoove as Leon.

In a series, 6 awkward years in the making, Larry’s fictional alter ego picks up right where he left off, dropping his trademark faux pas and character assassinations while continuing his stubborn refusal to just let things go. Another thing set to continue is the series’ long standing tradition of celebrity cameos, with Bryan Cranston, Jimmy Kimmel, Nick Offerman and Judge Judy all making appearances.

Curb Your Enthusiasm‘ Season 9 airs on Sky Atlantic from Monday, 2nd October 2017.
