Netflix UK has picked up CW’s ‘Valor‘, one of this season’s military dramas, coming to the streaming service from Wednesday, 1st November 2017 it has been announced.
Set on a U.S. Army base that houses an elite unit of helicopter pilots, the boundaries between military discipline and human desire are tested as the group train to perform clandestine international and domestic missions. The drama unfolds in the present as well as in flashbacks to a failed mission involving one of the first female pilots in the unit, ultimately uncovering layers of personal and government/military secrets and leading to a season-long plan to rescue a group of MIA soldiers.
The show stars Christina Ochoa (‘Blood Drive’, ‘Animal Kingdom’), Matt Barr (‘Hatfields & McCoys’, ‘Commander in Chief’, ‘One Tree Hill’), Charlie Barnett (‘Chicago Fire’, ‘Secrets and Lies’), W. Trè Davis (‘Shades of Blue’, ‘Placeholders’), Corbin Reid (‘How to Get Away with Murder’), Nigel Thatch (‘Selma’), and Melissa Roxburgh (‘Legends of Tomorrow’, ‘Star Trek Beyond’).
‘Valor’ is created by Kyle Jarrow (‘Lost Generations’), and is the first of this year’s batch of military dramas to get picked up this side of the Atlantic. We’re still waiting for news on CBS’s ‘SEAL Team‘ starring David Boreanaz, and NBC’s ‘The Brave‘ starring Anne Heche and Mike Vogel.
‘Valor‘ comes to Netflix UK from Wednesday, 1st November 2017.
