‘The Grand Tour’ Returns For Season 2 In December, Gets New Trailer

by Dave Elliott

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May are back for Season 2 of Amazon Prime Video’s hugely popular The Grand Tour on Friday, 8th December 2017 the streaming service has announced.

The show, which features the usual antics of three middle-aged men mucking about in cars, also has a new trailer, which uses the same tact and diplomacy we’ve come to expect. Given two of the three presenters nearly died this year – Hammond by crashing a car… again… and Clarkson from a nearly deadly case of Pneumonia – they, of course, decided ‘Live and Let Die’ would be the most appropriate background music.

This season sees the boys driving old Jaguars down snow-covered ski slopes in Colorado, with films being also shot in Switzerland, Croatia, Mozambique, Dubai, Spain and New York.

One major change this year saw them plant the giant Grand Tour tent in a single location, rather than travelling around the world with it. That location?… In the Cotswolds… Next to Clarkson’s house. Given the gang have a combined age of 158, and they do seem to be getting even more accident-prone in their advancing years, that’s probably not a bad idea!

The Grand Tour‘ Season 2 comes exclusively to Amazon Prime Video subscribers from Friday, 8th December 2017, with episodes being released weekly.
