It would appear, CBS series ‘Salvation‘ has snuck onto Netflix UK, and is available to watch from today!
The suspense thriller stars Charlie Rowe (‘Red Band Society’, ‘The Boat That Rocked’) as MIT grad student Liam Cole and Santiago Cabrera (‘Big Little Lies’, ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’) as tech billionaire Darius Tanz who team up after discovering an enormous asteroid is just six months away from colliding with Earth. Without alerting the public, the duo work to save humanity from the impending apocalypse. Keeping it secret will complicate life for Liam and those closest to him.
Meanwhile, the government has its own approach… Grace Barrows (Jennifer Finnigan – ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’, ‘Tyrant’) is both the Pentagon Press Secretary and a single mom, and she deftly navigates the complicated waters of both jobs. Deputy Secretary of Defense Harris Edwards (Ian Anthony Dale – ‘Hawaii Five-0’, ‘Murder in the First’) has been tasked with running their own top-secret plan to deflect the asteroid.
Rounding out the group is Jillian (Jacqueline Byers – ‘Roadies’, ‘Ascension’), an aspiring sci-fi writer recruited by Darius to work on a theoretical approach to saving humanity – a project that might prove to be all too real.
‘Salvation‘ has already been renewed for a 2nd season, but the whole of Season 1 is now available to stream on Netflix UK.
