Wentworth Miller Leaves The ‘Arrowverse’ For Good

Wentworth Miller’s time in the Arrowverse is over, according to his recent post to Instagram. The actor took to the social media platform posting “Currently shooting some of my final episodes as “Captain Cold/Leonard Snart” on the CW’s Legends Of Tomorrow and The Flash. Grateful – now and in advance – to a pair of talented casts and hardworking crews. Thank you.” You can see his full post below.

Miller has been in and out of the Arrowverse for a few years now, ever since first appearing as Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold, in ‘The Flash’ episode ‘Going Rogue’ in 2014. He then went on to become a member of the Legends in ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’, before the character sacrificed himself to save the team.

As these are comic book characters, no one stays dead for long, and an earlier version of Snart is recruited into the time-travelling super-villain group, The Legion of Doom. He also popped up across the Arrowverse thanks to a new unique-style contract, signed by a number of the recurring cast, allowing them to pop up in any of the shows in the franchise. It seems that has now come to an end, and Snart will be no more.

Miller’s appearance in the Arrowverse reteamed him with his fellow ‘Prison Break’ co-star Dominic Purcell, who is still on ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ as Mick Rory, aka Heat Wave. This regrouping then led to Fox reviving ‘Prison Break’ for an Event Series run earlier this year.

Legends Of Tomorrow‘, along with the other Arrowverse shows, are currently airing Monday to Thursday at 8pm on Sky 1 in the UK.
