BBC Releases First Photo Of Jodie Whittaker As 13th Doctor In ‘Doctor Who’

If there’s one thing the Doctor in Doctor Who has been known for (other than having 2 hearts and being able to travel through time) it’s their interesting fashion choices. Now the BBC has released the first picture of Jodie Whittaker in her full 13th Doctor outfit.

Compared to some previous Doctors (I’m looking at you Colin Baker), it’s a fairly understated affair, comprising of a light grey/tan coat, teal culottes, braces, a striped jumper and brown boots. This is somewhat different from the grey coat/dark hoodie combo we originally saw in her reveal clip back in July.

The TARDIS, which can be seen in the back of the shot, has also undergone some minor tweaks. The St John’s Ambulance logo, which was on the right-hand door, has now gone, and the sign on the left-hand door has reverted from white to black again.

Whittaker will take over the role this Christmas which sees Peter Capaldi bow out of the part after teaming up with the Doctor’s first incarnation, played by David Bradley.

The 13th Doctor will be joined by 3 new companions next year – Graham, played by Bradley Walsh, Ryan, played by Tosin Cole, and Mandip Gill who plays Yasmin.

The new series of Doctor Who will be a 10 week run of 50-minute episodes starting in Autumn 2018, and will kick off with a feature-length hourlong opening episode.
