Netflix Announces Their ‘Altered Carbon’ Adaptation Airing In Feb 2018, And It Looks Outstanding!
‘Altered Carbon‘ is one of Netflix’s new shows we’ve been waiting for with huge anticipation, and the trailer does not disappoint! The streaming service announced the series will air worldwide from Friday, 2nd February 2018 and have dropped a trailer, and some ‘first look’ shots!
Based on the classic cyberpunk noir novel by Richard K. Morgan, Altered Carbon is an intriguing story of murder, love, sex, and betrayal, set more than 300 years in the future. Society has been transformed by new technology: consciousness can be digitized; human bodies are interchangeable; death is no longer permanent.
Takeshi Kovacs (Joel Kinnaman – ‘Suicide Squad’, ‘The Killing’) is the lone surviving soldier in a group of elite interstellar warriors who were defeated in an uprising against the new world order. His mind was imprisoned, “on ice”, for centuries until Laurens Bancroft (James Purefoy – ‘Hap and Leonard’, ‘The Following’), an impossibly wealthy, long-lived man, offers Kovacs the chance to live again. In exchange, Kovacs has to solve a murder… that of Bancroft himself.
Additional cast includes ‘Bones’ star Tamara Taylor, ‘Buffy’ Alumnus Adam Busch, Dichen Lachman (‘The Last Ship’, ‘Agents Of Shield’, ‘Dollhouse’), Trieu Tran (‘The Newsroom’) and Marlene Forte (‘Fear the Walking Dead’, ‘Dallas’), Ato Essandoh (‘Vinyl’, ‘Elementary’, ‘Blue Bloods’) and Chris Conner (‘People vs. O. J.’)
Not only does the trailer look great, but you can also see some of the ‘first look’ photos below, which are equally awesome!
‘Altered Carbon‘ will stream worldwide on to Netflix from Friday, 2nd February 2018.
