Agent Carter’s James D’Arcy Joins ‘Homeland’

James D’Arcy is swapping assisting an SSR agent to become a special ops agent himself as he joins the ranks of Homeland in season 7.

If you remember the end of ‘Homeland’ Season 6, following an assassination attempt on her life, President Keane (Elizabeth Marvel) broke her promise to Carrie (Claire Danes) by arresting 200 members of the intelligence community without bringing charges against them, including Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin). As season 7 begins, Carrie has left her job in the White House, has moved back to D.C. and is living with her sister Maggie (Amy Hargreaves) to take on the Keane administration and secure the release of the 200.

D’Arcy is well known to British audiences having starred in ‘Broadchurch’ as Lee Ashworth, Duncan in ‘Secret Diary of a Call Girl’, and popping up in films such as ‘Dunkirk’, ‘The Snowman’, and ‘Jupiter Ascending’. To the geekier readers amongst up though, he is best know as Jarvis, assistant to SSR agent Agent Carter in Marvel’s MCU. In ‘Homeland’, D’Arcy is set to play former special ops agent who went to CIA training facility, The Farm, with Carrie.

Although Channel 4 has yet to announce the UK premiere date for Homeland‘ Season 7, we do know it arrives in the US on February 11, 2018. The UK is usually only a few weeks behind, so we’re expecting it to land late Feb/early March 2018. We’ll let you know when we have something more solid.
