Geektown Radio 145: Steve, Sam & Ellie From ‘Dara O Briain’s Go 8 Bit’ UK TV News & UK TV Air Dates!

We are back with a brand new Geektown Radio podcast and along with all the usual tv news and airdate information, we have not one, not two, but three guests on the show – Steve McNeil, Sam Pamphilon and Ellie Gibson from the brilliant Dara O Briain’s Go 8 Bit!

For those of you that haven’t caught the series, it sees celebrities battle each other at a hose of classic and contemporary games – everything from Star Wars Battlefront and Temple Run to Pong and Tetris.

Steve McNeil and Sam Pamphilon are a comedy duo who created Go 8 Bit as a live show at Edinburgh and are now the team captains on the show. Last year McNeil broke a world record with his ‘WiFi Wars’ live show for ‘Most People Playing A Single Game of Pong’. Pamphilon has also starred in ‘Josh’ and Russell Howard’s ‘A Gert Lush Christmas’.

Ellie Gibson is a comedian and journalist who has written for The Guardian and Eurogamer. She’s currently the resident games expert on ‘Dara O Briain’s Go 8 Bit’, and hosts the ‘Scummy Mummies’ podcast with Helen Thorn, who recently released their first book.

Dara O Briain’s Go 8 Bit‘ Season 3 comes to Dave on 12th February 2018 at 10pm, but you can watch the 1st episode on UKTV Play right now!
