Channel 4 Sets February UK Premiere Date For ‘Homeland’ Season 7

by Dave Elliott

Claire Danes returns to Channel 4 as ex-CIA officer Carrie Mathison, in Homeland‘ Season 7, which gets it’s UK premiere in February 2018.

If you need a bit of a recap, at the end of last season, following an assassination attempt on her life, President Keane (Elizabeth Marvel) broke her promise to Carrie by arresting 200 members of the intelligence community without bringing charges against them, including Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin).

As the 7th season begins, Carrie has left her job in the White House is living with her sister Maggie’s family in DC. Saul and the other federal employees are still in prison, but Carrie is determined to take on President Keane’s administration and secure the release of the 200. However, as we know from the trailer above, Saul not only gets out, but takes up a position inside Keane’s new government…

Along with Danes, Patinkin and Marvel, Morgan Spector (‘The Mist’, ‘Person of Interest’) and Costa Ronin (‘The Americans’) have been added to the cast for Season 7. Jake Weber, Linus Roache and Maury Sterling, who appeared in the previous season have been upped from recurring characters to series regulars this time around as well. Weber, who played Brett O’Keefe, the Alex Jones-style conspiracy tv host last season, features quite prominently in the trailer, which makes sense given the current political climate in the US.

Homeland‘ Season 7 gets it’s UK air date on Channel 4 from Sunday, 18th February 2018 at 9pm.
