Sky Living Picks Up Ryan Murphy’s ‘9-1-1’

Ryan Murphy’s latest US drama, 9-1-1, has finally found a UK home on Sky Living it has been announced.

Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, ‘9-1-1’ is a fast-paced procedural drama which delves into the lives and careers of first responders, from cops to paramedics and firefighters.

“I’m delighted to bring the heart-stoppingly dramatic ‘9-1-1’ to Sky Living where it will thrill viewers alongside fellow best-loved US dramas,” commented Adam MacDonald, Director Of Sky Living. “Its nail-biting blend of breathtaking danger and raw emotion will have U.K. viewers…completely hooked.”

The series stars Angela Bassett (‘American Horror Story’, ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’), Peter Krause (‘The Catch,’, ‘Six Feet Under’) and Connie Britton (‘Nashville’, ‘Friday Night Lights’, ‘American Horror Story’) and is based on the real-life, high-pressure experiences of emergency response providers who are thrust into heart-stopping situations that are equal parts unpredictable, intense and uplifting.

Oliver Stark (‘Into The Badlands’), Aisha Hinds (‘Shots Fired’, ‘Underground’), Kenneth Choi (‘The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story’) and Rockmond Dunbar (‘Prison Break’, ‘The Path’) also star.

The show has already received considerable critical acclaim and has already been renewed for a 2nd Season

There’s no news yet on exactly when ‘9-1-1‘ will air, but we’ll let you know.
