Update: E4 Picks Up ‘Gotham’ Season 4 To Air In The UK In April!
It’s taken a while, but ‘Gotham‘ Season 4 FINALLY has a new UK tv home, on the channel it really should have been on from the start – E4.
The early years of “The Dark Knight” has been missing from our screens ever since Channel 5 dropped the series after 2 seasons. The 3rd season then ran on Netflix but hasn’t had a TV airing. Channel 4 has confirmed it is Season 4 they are starting with. For those of you needing to catch up with Season 3 of the show, as I said, it is on Netflix UK, but is also available on disc from £15 on Amazon, or you can find it from around £9 if you do some searching on eBay.
‘Gotham’ follows the story of GCPD’s Jim Gordon and the young Bruce Wayne before he donned the cowl and his voice got all gravelly.
As we enter Season 4 we see the criminal landscape of Gotham shifting into the more familiar set up we know from the comics, with Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) at the forefront of the fight against the city’s most depraved and unhinged villains. While Gotham City fights for normalcy, a new hero will rise, as Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) begins to assume responsibility for the city’s well-being.
This season sees Robin Lord Taylor return as The Penguin, Cory Michael Smith back as Edward Nygma/Riddler, and Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle. Erin Richards also returns as Barbara Kean, Jessica Lucas is back as Tabitha Galavan/Tigress, and Drew Powell returns as Butch. Maggie Geha returns as Poison Ivy, although after her encounter with a monster from Indian Hill, she finds herself ageing once again…
The trailer which ran originally said ‘Gotham’ would be “coming soon” to E4. E4 have now confirmed, ‘Gotham‘ Season 4 will be coming in April 2018. Exact date TBC.
