E4 has set a May UK premiere date for ‘Let’s Get Physical‘, a US comedy starring Matt Jones (‘Breaking Bad’, ‘Mom’) as a reluctant fitness instructor, in a sort of ‘Brewster’s Millions’ meets fitness DVDs!
The show revolves around middle-aged slacker Joe Force (Jones), who makes a reluctant comeback in the fitness industry after his dad, the “Godfather of Aerobics”, unexpectedly passes away and wills Joe the broken-down family gym. However, the inheritance comes with some eccentric provisions to fulfil before the fortune and estate can be claimed.
Jane Seymour (‘Wedding Crashers’, ‘Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman’) stars as Janet, Joe’s mom, who takes the reins of the business in order to protect the family legacy, using information and manipulation to guarantee things go her way. With Joe returning home, he must once again face his archrival, Barry Cross (Chris Diamantopoulos – ‘Silicon Valley’), and his teenage love, Claudia (AnnaLynne McCord – ‘Secrets & Lies’, ‘90210’, ‘Nip/Tuck’), who is now Barry’s wife. Against all odds, they face off in the ultimate battle of masculinity: the National Aerobics Championships.

‘Let’s Get Physical‘ comes to E4 from Thursday, 3rd May 2018 at 9.30pm.
