Netflix has released the first trailer for Arrested Development‘ Season 5 announced Bluths are all together… whether they like it or not… this May.

The Emmy Award-winning comedy series follows the wildly eccentric and entertainingly dysfunctional Bluth family. Season 5 will see the entire regular cast properly reunited this time, including Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Portia de Rossi, David Cross and Alia Shawkat.

Season 4 somewhat polarised fans as the format followed individual characters rather than getting the entire group into one room at the same time. As you can see by the trailer above, series creator Mitchell Hurwitz has thankfully abandoned that idea in favour of making the Bluths spend some “quality time” together again.

The original format of Season 4 was actually so unpopular, Netflix took the unprecedented move of replacing it with a ‘remixed’ version. This re-cut the entire season into 22 chronological episodes rather than the 15 ‘character’ episodes as it was when the show was originally released. So if you hated the style of the previous season, it might be worth a rewatch in the new format over the next few weeks!

Arrested Development‘ Season 5 premieres on Netflix on Tuesday, 29th May 2018.
