FOX UK Becomes New Home Of ‘NCIS: New Orleans’. Season 4 To Air In July.
‘NCIS: New Orleans‘ has a new UK home as FOX picks up the series, with Season 4 coming in July, and Season 5 coming later in the year.
Leading the ‘NCIS: New Orleans’ team is Special Agent Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula – ‘Quantum Leap, Star Trek: Enterprise’), a.k.a. “King”, a native of New Orleans who is driven by his need to do what is right. But underestimate him at your peril – Pride has fast fists and a temper you don’t want to mess with.
Working with Pride is his longtime friend and colleague Special Agent Christopher Lasalle (Lucas Black – ‘American Gothic’, ‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’), who plays hard but works harder; tough and acerbic Special Agent Tammy Gregorio (Vanessa Ferlito – ‘CSI: NY’, ’24’), a former FBI Agent who was sent to New Orleans to investigate NCIS and upon completion joined Pride’s team; former ATF agent Sonja Percy (Shalita Grant – ‘Mercy Street’), who is still adjusting after years of solo undercover assignments; and Forensic Agent Sebastian Lund (Rob Kerkovich – ‘Cloverfield’) a brilliant scientist who left the lab and after much training became an agent. Supporting them is coroner Dr Loretta Wade (CCH Pounder – ‘ER’, ‘The Shield’, ‘Avatar’), who is as eccentric as she is smart and Investigative Computer Specialist Patton Plame (Daryl Chill Mitchell – ‘Galaxy Quest’) an animated and talented hacker.
“FOX UK is the home of NCIS, one of the most watched dramas in the world. In a move set to delight viewers, fans of the series can now watch premiere episodes from the brand new season of NCIS: NEW ORLEANS,” comments Shoshana Wilson, Director of Programming, Scheduling & Acquisitions, Fox Networks Group Europe. “FOX prides itself on delivering thrilling entertainment in keeping with our Hollywood heritage and I’m delighted we can bring our viewers the series they have been crying out for.”
In the season four premiere, six weeks after his takedown of a corrupt official, Pride is still on probation for his questionable tactics – leaving his team closely monitored by Supervisory Special Agent Paula Boyd (Becky Ann Baker). As if their new supervisor wasn’t enough, the FBI has taken the lead on an investigation into a stolen rig full of nuclear waste – but the NCIS team has a few ideas of their own and have to pursue them under the radar. Will Pride and the other special agents be able to work around their new restrictions?
Before any of you ask, no, we don’t know what happened to Channel 5 airing the second half of Season 3 after they abandoned it mid-season. It may still show up, as it’s unlikely Channel 5 only brought half a season, but I wouldn’t hold my breath… UPDATE: Channel 5 has emailed us and asked us to clarify that they are planning to show the second half of Season 3, on 5USA in Autumn 2018.
‘NCIS: New Orleans‘ Season 4 gets it’s UK Premiere Friday, 20th July at 9pm.
Finally! Season 3 Episode 14 airs on Monday, 1st October, at 9pm on 5USA.
Can you confirm that channel 5 are to show the second half of season 3 ncis New Orleans in the autumn on 5usa? Just that I have just rang them and they said no idea when will be shown ?
All I can tell you is that’s what the PR dept is telling me. Bare in mind, nothing is ever nailed down until around 2 weeks before broadcast though, so it may change. Also, this is Channel 5, and they will sometimes say one thing and do another…
NCIS New Orleans is great TV – even better than NCIS original sometimes. Cast,Story-lines, backdrop all terrific!
( think Ch 5 only bought rights to 1st 1/2 of series 3 – can’t understand that at all ? )
can’t wait for series 4 on Fox UK
This just further confirms what I’ve thought about Channel 5 and it’s various channels – they’re one of the worst UK TV schedulers. It’s a pity FOX UK couldn’t acquire first-run rights to Chicago P.D. Even if there were some breaks, I’d rather have that than having to wait until after the season has finished in the United States before it starts in the UK (mainly because of the crossover events).
Finally New Orleans being show on a channel in the UK that cares about the NCIS franchise.
had to buy the season 3 DVD in order to watch the end of the season…Not good channel 5. When you buy a show…show it…don’t sit on it or not show it because there are not enough viewers…if you start…finish. Nothing viewers hate more than a series being started then not finished. Well done Fox for picking it up. Well done to CBS for listing to irritated UK fans and not letting channel 5 have it.
As the second half of S3 contains the crossover episode, at this point I imagine they’re planning on holding it to match their NCIS schedule. Very irritating, but not surprised with their recent treatment of US dramas.
Who are you talking about Middie? the corresponding crossover episode was shown ages ago on Fox. Don’t know why Channel 5 stopped showing season 3. If you want to see the end of season 3 then I suggest you buy the DVD – as i did.
I mean because C5 have the 2nd run rights for NCIS, so they’ll likely want the crossovers to match up with their season of NCIS. As it was, they were originally running both series together, although they were 1 season out-of-sync. Unfortunately my player is not multi-regional so the current DVD box sets available are not an option. Fortunately, the full series now appears to be available digitally on Amazon.
Scratch that, 2nd half is still listed as available.
Season 3 that is compatible with UK is available on Amazon UK. It is sold by an Australian company I have used them several without problems.
5USA have got NCIS season 14 at the moment and after that ends they’ll have NCIS Los Angeles season 4. Disappointing that the second half of season three didn’t get shown on channel 5 instead they show original outgrown documentaries such as the Yorkshire vet and Jane McDonald and big brother is back on this summer again. They’ve axed NCIS part of their daytime slot, its replacement is documentary repeats and as whilst the Australian soaps and made for tv films plus Hollywood movies remain on the original programming network.
It’s down to becoming more like channel four but same happened to Gotham two years ago with E4 have now got the rights to every future season until it expires and season three part one of NCIS New Orleans ended with a double bill on the late night slot on the 16th of December 2017 a week later you’d had Jane McDonald also chas n dave repeat because of Christmas and it didn’t come back in the new year as C5 may have cleared their tidyup to their schedule.
Let’s hoping 5USA will be showing it sometime soon as they’ve got NCIS season 14 and NCIS Los Angeles season 4 with having it poached from sky and cbs action which is still to come later this summer.
Channel 5 lately is like the other four channels but with c4 its Simpsons from sky, homeland, and Big Bang theory as itv have got lethal weapon, bbc two got Atlanta and American crime story, and bbc one is the only other not to show American imports anymore which is similar to C5.
5USA have got a similar deal with Chicago PD when it comes to rights after a season finishes in America as they show a complete one instead of taking in gaps between breaks from Christmas and other American holidays.
It doesn’t look good with Fox already shown S4 ep 1 and there still been no sign on C5 of S3 part 2. What on earth is going on here.
