Welcome to Hawkins, Indiana, home of the brand new Starcourt Mall!.. and some rather more disturbing ‘Stranger Things‘, which I’m sure don’t make it onto the tourist brochures!
This wonderfully cheesy 80’s-tastic trailer shows of one of the new locations which will feature in the upcoming 3rd Season of the Duffer Brothers Netflix show. The new Starcourt Mall is described as “one of the finest shopping facilities in America and beyond with options for the entire family.” Those facilities include the “Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream” shop, and as you can see in the trailer, you might recognise one of the employees.
On the right, we have Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) alongside newcomer Maya Hawke as Robin on the left. She is described as an alternative girl who is equal parts sharp and playful. Bored with her mundane day job, she just wants a little excitement in her life… and gets more than she bargained for when she uncovers a dark secret in Hawkins.
If you’re trying to place where you’ve seen Hawke before, she recently starred in ‘Little Women’ on the BBC, and just finished filming the indie movie ‘Ladyworld’. She is also the daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.
The 3rd Season of ‘Stranger Things’ will see Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Winona Ryder, and David Harbour all return. Also back, and upgraded to a recurring role from guest star, will be Priah Ferguson as Erica Sinclair, Lucas’ strong-willed little sister. Except, this time she returns with an army of friends. No longer content with sitting on the sidelines, Erica finds herself on a wild mission to save Hawkins from a dangerous and unexpected new threat.
The one bit of bad news is that it looks like we might not be seeing ‘Stranger Things‘ Season 3 until Summer 2019, which means we still have a bit of a wait!
