Amazon Renews ‘Sneaky Pete’ For Season 3

The utterly brilliant Sneaky Pete will return for a 3rd Season of mischief Amazon has announced this weekend.

The critically acclaimed drama stars Giovanni Ribisi (‘Avatar’) as a con man Marius, who left prison only to find himself hunted by the vicious gangster he once robbed. With nowhere else to turn, he took cover from his past by assuming the identity of his cellmate Pete, “reuniting” with Pete’s estranged family.

The 3rd Season renewal had largely been expected, as it was announced in March that the production would be moving from New York to LA after it landed millions in California tax credits. Jennifer Salke, the new head of Amazon Studios, made it official after an announcement at the Television Critics Association Press Tour this weekend.

‘Sneaky Pete’, which was co-created by Bryan Cranston and ‘House’s’ David Shore, will also have a new showrunner next season. Blake Masters (‘Brotherhood’, ‘Falling Water’) will take over from the outgoing Graham Yost. Things are set to stay the same on screen though, with Giovanni Ribisi, Marin Ireland, Margo Martindale, Peter Gerety, Libe Barer and Shane McRae all set to return.

Sneaky Pete‘ Seasons 1 and 2 can be watched on Amazon Prime UK right now.
