AMC Renews ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ & ‘Better Call Saul’ For 5th Seasons

AMC has announced two of its spin-off shows will be returning for their 5th Seasons – Fear the Walking Dead & Better Call Saul.

‘Fear the Walking Dead’ has been renewed ahead of the premiere of the second half of season four on AMC UK on Monday, 13th August at 2am, simultaneous to the US premiere, with a repeat at 9pm. In the US, the series is the #3 cable drama to date among adults 25-54 and 18-49 and has shown strong double-digit ratings growth among adults 25-54 in the first half of its fourth season compared to the second half of season three.

Season 4 saw Lennie James’ Morgan be the first character to make the trip over to ‘Fear’ from the main ‘Walking Dead’ show. In the back half of the season, the gang will explore who they are as individuals, and as part of the greater group, and how they will forge ahead. They will find themselves pitted against new adversaries – human, walker, and even nature itself. Theirs will be a journey wrought with danger, love, heartbreak, loss, and ultimately, hope.

Over on ‘Breaking Bad’ spin-off ‘Better Call Saul’, *WARNING SPOILERS FOR SEASON 3 FINALE* the loss of his brother, Chuck (Michael McKean), catalyzes Jimmy’s transformation into Saul. In the wake of the death, Jimmy takes steps into the criminal world that will put his future as a lawyer – and his relationship with Kim – in jeopardy. Chuck’s death also deeply affects former colleagues Howard (Patrick Fabian) and Kim as well, putting the two of them once again on opposite sides of a battle sparked by the Brothers McGill.

The 3rd season of ‘Better Call Saul’ was the #5 cable drama among adults 25-54. Season 4 of the drama comes to Netflix UK on Tuesday, 7th August 2018, just hours after its US broadcast.
