‘The Originals’ 5th & Final Season Comes To Netflix UK In September
The 5th & final season of vampire drama ‘The Originals‘ finally comes to the UK as Netflix UK sets a September air date.
The final season begins with a 7-year time jump. The 4th season finale saw Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic), each absorb a quarter of the Hollow’s dark energy and flee New Orleans in order to keep both their beloved city and young Hope (Summer Fontana) safe.
In the intervening year, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) and Josh (Steven Krueger) have been presiding over a Big Easy almost devoid of conflict, while Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Freya (Riley Voelkel) watch Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) grow into a teenager, eventually opting to send her to the Salvatore School so that Caroline (Candice King) can keep an eye on her.
With Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) following Rebekah out of town and Elijah stripped of his memory, the danger seems to be contained… until a sudden tragedy forces the siblings to return home. As the Mickaelsons return to New Orleans, bringing the pieces of a centuries-old evil with them, it becomes clear that the closing chapter of this family saga will be as bloody and emotional as ever.
Although ‘The Originals’ is coming to an end, Julie Plec’s epic vampire saga will continue. The new series, ‘Legacies’, tells the story of the next generation of supernatural beings at The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. It’s here that Klaus Mikaelson’s daughter, 17-year-old Hope Mikaelson; Alaric Saltzman’s twins, Lizzie and Josie Saltzman; and other young adults – including political scion MG and the mysterious Landon Kirby – come of age in the most unconventional way possible, nurtured to be their best selves… in spite of their worst impulses. There’s currently no news on a UK pick up for the latest spin-off but we’ll let you know when you hear something.
‘The Originals‘ Season 5 comes to Netflix UK on Saturday, 1st September 2018 for your binge-watching pleasure!
