The 6th Season of ‘Ray Donovan‘ will premiere in November Sky Atlantic has announced today.
The show sees the return of Liev Schreiber as celebrity fixer Ray Donovan – the go-to guy who makes the problems of celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls disappear. However, he will be plying his trade to a new group of people as he moves from Los Angeles to New York City.
If you watched the heartbreaking 5th Season (warning – spoilers if you haven’t!), Ray’s wife Abby (Paula Malcomson) died after it was revealed that she had cancer. Needing a new start, and wanting to reconnect and patch up his relationship with his daughter Bridget (Kerris Dorsey), Ray heads off to the Big Apple.
In the season 5 finale, Ray enlisted the help of Hollywood mogul Sam Winslow (played by Oscar-winning actress Susan Sarandon), who agreed to help Ray, but on the condition that Ray commit a brutal act. Meanwhile, Mickey (Jon Voight) tried to get himself out of jail by turning the tables on Ray, only for them to be left at odds once again.
The cast includes Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Steven Bauer, Katherine Moennig, Pooch Hall and Devon Bagby. Susan Sarandon also joins the cast has a series regular, reprising her role as the scheming Hollywood mogul. One new edition this year is Domenick Lombardozzi (‘Boardwalk Empire’, ‘The Wire’) as Mac, an NYPD officer who pulls Ray out of the river at the start of the season and offers him a safe haven to rebuild himself in the new city.
‘Ray Donovan‘ Season 6 premieres in the UK from Thursday, 1st November 2018 (exact time TBC, but it’ll be 9 or 10pm) on Sky Atlantic.
