New Trailer Arrives For ‘House Of Cards’ Season 6

by Dave Elliott

Netflix has released a new, extended, trailer for House Of Cards 6th and final season which premieres Friday, 2nd November 2018.

The last season of the political drama sees Robin Wright return as Claire Underwood, now President Of The United States. Frank Underwood is dead, and Claire is not going to be pushed around by those people left to “guide” her. “The first female President of the United States is not going to keep her mouth shut,” she comments in the trailer.

It would seem that Frank’s “fixer”, Doug Stamper, is out of favour as well. “I’m not going to be told what to do anymore, Doug,” she tells him. “Not by you or any man, ever again.” It’s clear Claire is determined to shake things up in Washington, and that’s upsetting a lot of people.

Wright is joined by Academy Award nominees Diane Lane (‘Batman v Superman’, ‘Jumper’) and Greg Kinnear (‘As Good as It Gets’, ‘The Kennedys’) as well as Cody Fern this season, alongside Emmy Award nominee Michael Kelly (Doug), and Jayne Atkinson (Catherine). Campbell Scott returns as Special Adviser Mark Usher and Patricia Clarkson as Jane Davis, Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, both who appeared in Season 5. Derek Cecil and Boris McGiver also star.

Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese continue as showrunners for season 6, and they serve as executive producers along with Robin Wright, David Fincher, Joshua Donen, Dana Brunetti, Eric Roth, Michael Dobbs and Andrew Davies. Created for television by Beau Willimon, ‘House of Cards’ is produced by Donen/Fincher/Roth and Trigger Street Productions, Inc. in associated with Media Rights Capital for Netflix.

The final season will be 8-episodes.

House of Cards‘ Season 6 will premiere Friday, 2nd November 2018 on Netflix.
