Greg Berlanti’s psychological thriller ‘You‘ has finally got a UK TV premiere date, as it lands on Netflix in December 2018.
The drama, which is has already been renewed for a 2nd season by it’s US network Lifetime, is based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling novel, and is described as a 21st-century love story about an obsessive, yet brilliant twentysomething who uses the hyper-connectivity of today’s technology to make the woman of his dreams fall in love with him.
When a brilliant bookstore manager crosses paths with an aspiring writer, his answer becomes clear: anything. Using the internet and social media as his tools, he gathers the most intimate of details and gets close to her. A charming and awkward crush quickly becomes an obsession as he quietly and strategically removes every obstacle – and person – in his way.
‘You’ comes from executive producers/writers Greg Berlanti (DC/CW shows, ‘Riverdale’) and Sera Gamble (‘The Magicians’, ‘Aquarius’, ‘Supernatural’). The show stars Penn Badgley (‘Gossip Girl), Elizabeth Lail (‘Once Upon a Time’), Luca Padovan (‘Super Wings!’), Zach Cherry (‘Our Cartoon President’) and Shay Mitchell (‘Pretty Little Liars’).
