Disney Releases TWO ‘Toy Story 4’ Teaser Trailers!

by Dave Elliott

Yesterday, you may have seen that a new trailer dropped for Disney/Pixar’s upcoming ‘Toy Story 4’, which arrives in UK cinemas on Friday, 21st June 2019. What you may not have caught is the follow up “reaction” trailer, which features new characters Ducky and Bunny, voiced by the legendary duo of Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, discussing the first trailer release!

The new film sees Tom Hanks and Tim Allen return as the voices of as Woody and Buzz Lightyear, along with a new character, Forky, voiced by ‘Veep’ and ‘Arrested Development’ star, Tony Hale. Forky is a homemade craft project by the toy’s new child, Bonnie, but is somewhat in denial about his new life as a toy.

According to the official synopsis, “Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called Forky to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.”

The rather meta “teaser reaction” trailer features Ducky and Bunny (Key and Peele), who are apparently prize toys at a fairground, discussing how great the first trailer is. This then turns into an argument about what the exact wording of Buzz’s famous catchphrase… Neither of them quite hit the mark.

Other returning cast includes Annie Potts as Bo Peep, Joan Cusack as Jessie, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog, Wallace Shawn as Rex, John Ratzenberger as Hamm and Estelle Harris as Mrs. Potato Head. Mr. Potato Head was featured in the trailer, however, they have yet to announce who will be voicing him following the death of original voice, Don Rickles.

‘Toy Story 4’ arrives in UK cinemas on Friday, 21st June 2019.
