‘Legion’ Season 3 Will Be It’s Last

Legion will end with it’s upcoming 3rd Season US Network FX has announced.

Based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, Legion is the story of “David Haller” (Dan Stevens), a man who believed himself to be schizophrenic only to discover that he may actually be the most powerful mutant the world has ever seen. The show also stars Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Bill Irwin and Jemaine Clement.

Whilst the announcement only came out today, it would seem this was always the plan. “[Show creator] Noah Hawley had always considered Legion to be a three-season show, and he has confirmed that he’s going to stick with his plan.” commented FX CEO John Landgraf at the TCA event today. “This will be the final season.”

When we last left David and the gang, David had defeated Farouk, but was now seemingly a bigger threat to the world. After the group, including Syd, turn on him, he escapes with Lenny. Meanwhile Melanie and Oliver are living it up in the astral plane together.

Legion Season 3 will premiere on FX at some point around June in the US. The show airs on Fox in the UK and usually isn’t too far behind, but we’ll let you know when we have an exact date.
