US Network FX has released the first trailer for vampire comedy mockumentary series What We Do in the Shadows from ‘Flight of the Conchords’ Jemaine Clement and ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ director Taika Waititi.

Based on Clement & Waititi’s 2014 movie of the same name, ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ is set in New York City, and follows three vampires who have been roommates for hundreds and hundreds of years.

The series stars Kayvan Novak (‘Four Lions’, ‘Fonejacker’) as Nandor The Relentless, a warrior and conqueror from the Ottoman Empire, served by his trusted familiar Guillermo, played by Harvey Guillen (‘The Magicians’). Matt Berry (‘Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace’, ‘Toast of London’) portrays British vampire Laszlo, whilst Natasia Demetriou (‘Stath Lets Flats’) stars as seductress Nadja.

They are joined by Mark Proksch (‘Better Call Saul’, ‘The Office’) who plays Colin Robinson, a vampire who feasts on a human’s energy, and Beanie Feldstein (‘Lady Bird’) who portrays Nadja’s friend Jenna, a community college student.

What We Do in the Shadows‘ Season 1 will premiere in the US on Wednesday, 27th March at 10pm on FX. We don’t have an exact UK premiere date yet, but we do know it will air on the BBC in 2019. We’ll let you know when we have a confirmed UK air date.
