FOX UK has picked up the rights to ‘Bad Boys’ adjacent tv series ‘LA’s Finest’, starring Gabrielle Union (Bad Boys II) and Jessica Alba (Sin City), to premiere in July 2019, it was announced today.
The drama follows Sydney “Syd” Burnett (Union), who was last seen in ‘Bad Boys II’ taking down a drug cartel in Miami. Having left her complicated past behind her, she is now an LAPD detective with a new partner, Nancy McKenna (Alba), a working mom with an equally complex history. Burnett is forced to examine whether her unapologetic lifestyle might be masking a greater personal secret. Taking on the most dangerous criminals in Los Angeles while skirting the rules, Syd and McKenna become a force to be reckoned with, on the streets and in each other’s lives.
The series’ main cast also includes Zach Gilford, Duane Martin, Ryan McPartlin, Sophie Reynolds, and Ernie Hudson.

Union and Alba are executive producers alongside Jerry Bruckheimer (‘Bad Boys’), Jonathan Littman (‘CSI’ franchise), KristieAnne Reed (‘Lucifer’), Brandon Margolis (‘The Blacklist’), Brandon Sonnier (‘The Blacklist’), Pam Veasey (‘CSI:NY’), Doug Belgrad (‘Peter Rabbit’), Jeff Gaspin (‘To Tell the Truth’), Jeff Morrone (‘Atomic Blonde’) and Anton Cropper (‘Suits’), who also directed the pilot.
‘LA’s Finest’ premieres Wednesday, 10th July 2019 at 9pm, on FOX UK.
