And the trailers just keep on coming this evening, as HBO releases our first full look at ‘Westworld‘ Season 3, which sees the hosts causing havoc outside the park… And, erm, Maeve battling Nazis?
The first season of the show was set in a futuristic theme park staffed by artificial beings, where guests of ‘Westworld’ can live out their wildest fantasies. However, when the robots began to run amok, and the guests found themselves in a place where anything can happen.
*SEASON 2 SPOILERS* In the 2nd Season, the park was in full revolt as the hosts started to fight back. That resulted in a number of our synthetic hosts escaping the confines of the park and into the “real world”, which is where we find ourselves in Season 3.
However, it seems not all the hosts are out of the parks. Thandie Newton’s Maeve, along with fellow host Hector (Rodrigo Santoro), appear to have traded the Wild West for Nazi Germany! At least, we presume it’s a Delso park, or there is something very odd going on with the timeline!
We also get a number of shots of ‘Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, who joins the series for Season 3. He plays construction worker, Caleb, and it would seem from the previous trailer, his character is something of a grifter, who gets involved with Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores.
We don’t have an exact premiere date for ‘Westworld‘ Season 3 yet, but we’re expecting it to land around Spring 2020 on Sky Atlantic in the UK and HBO in the US.
