Apple’s new streaming service, Apple TV+, which is due to go live in the Autumn, has released the first teaser trailer for The Morning Show, starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon & Steve Carell.

Set behind the scenes of a tv station, the dramedy provides an inside look at the lives of the people who help America wake up in the morning, exploring the unique challenges faced by the women (and men) who carry out this daily televised ritual.

Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell take the lead roles. They are joined by Gugu Mbatha-Raw (‘Black Mirror’, ‘The Cloverfield Paradox’), Billy Crudup (‘Watchmen’, ‘Alien: Covenant’), Nestor Carbonell (‘Midnight, Texas’, ‘Lost’), Bel Powley (‘Informer’, ‘Benidorm’) and Mark Duplass (‘Goliath’, ‘The Mindy Project’).

‘The Morning Show’ is written by Kerry Ehrin (‘Bates Motel’, ‘Parenthood’, ‘Friday Night Lights’), who also serves as showrunner, based on an original idea by Michael Ellenberg.  Mimi Leder (‘The Leftovers’, ‘Shameless’) direct and exec produces, alongside Aniston, Witherspoon, Ehrin, Kristin Hahn (Echo Films) and Lauren Levy Neustadter (Hello Sunshine). Michael Ellenberg also exec produces via Media Res, who serve as the studio.

The Morning Showdoesn’t have an exact premiere date yet, but it is to be one of Apple TV+’s launch titles, so will appear in Autumn (Fall) 2019, when the service launches in the UK & US.

It will be joined by Ronald D. Moore’s alt-history space drama ‘For All Mankind starring Joel Kinnaman; Mythic Quest, a comedy set in a video game development studio from Charlie Day & Rob McElhenney, the people behind ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’; Truth Be Told, an adaptation of true-crime novel ‘Are You Sleeping’ by Kathleen Barber starring Octavia Spencer and Lizzy Caplan; And ‘Snoopy in Space’… it’s Peanut’s Snoopy… in Space!
