We may not yet be out of Summer, but the folk at ‘Mr. Robot‘ are getting ready for Christmas, as the first trailer for the 4th & final season of USA Network’s amazing drama arrives online, along with an October premiere date.
The Golden Globe award-winning series follows Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek), a cyber-security engineer who became involved in the underground hacker group fsociety after being recruited by their mysterious leader (Christian Slater). Following the events of fsociety’s five/nine hack on the multi-national company Evil Corp, the series continues to explore the consequences of the attack as well as the illusion of control.
Season 4 will pick up where the 3rd season finale left off, delving into the pros and cons of Elliot hitting “send” on the email that could reverse the 5/9 hack. Set during the 2015 Christmas holiday, the fast-paced season will be one filled with answers, hacking and blood, as Elliot and Mr. Robot get back to work and down a path that could prove endless. But have they crossed a line?
The show also stars Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, Martin Wallström, Grace Gummer, Michael Cristofer, Bobby Cannavale and BD Wong. Creator Sam Esmail exec produces along with Steve Golin and Chad Hamilton. Kyle Bradstreet and Joseph E. Iberti serve as co-executive producers.
The 4th and final season of ‘Mr. Robot‘ premieres Sunday, October 6 at 10/9c on USA Network for the Americans, and should arrive Monday, 7th October 2019 on Amazon Prime in the UK (TBC).
