Fox Searchlight has released the first full trailer for Taika Waititi’s ‘Jo Jo Rabbit’, a movie which tells the age-old tale of a young German lad, and his imaginary friend… Hitler…
Writer/director Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok’, ‘What We Do In The Shadows’), brings his signature style of humour and pathos to his latest film, a World War II satire that follows a lonely German boy (Roman Griffin Davis as JoJo) whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism.
The cast also includes Alfie Allen, Rebel Wilson, Sam Rockwell, and Stephen Merchant. The movie is based upon the book “Caging Skies” by Christine Leunens, with a screenplay from Waititi, who also directs the feature.
For those of you in London this October and would like to catch a preview, ‘Jo Jo Rabbit’ will headline gala screening at London Film Festival on Saturday, 5th October 2019. For more information, please visit: BFI London Film Festival – JOJO RABBIT.
For everyone else, ‘Jo Jo Rabbit’ premieres in UK cinemas Wednesday, 1st January 2020.
