‘Timeless’ Stars Goran Visnjic & Claudia Doumit Join ‘The Boys’ Season 2
Never let it be said that Eric Kripke leaves people behind! After his previous show, ‘Timeless’ was dropped after two seasons, he has handed recurring roles to stars Goran Visnjic and Claudia Doumit on Season 2 of his new show, ‘The Boys‘.
From ‘Supernatural’ & ‘Timeless’ creator Eric Kripke and ‘Preacher’s Evan Goldberg & Seth Rogen, ‘The Boys’ is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes – who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods – abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven, and Vought – the multi-billion dollar conglomerate that manages these superheroes and covers up all of their dirty secrets.
Goran Visnjic is set to play the recurring role of Alistair Adana, the charismatic and shadowy leader of a mysterious church. Claudia Doumit will portray Victoria Neuman, a young wunderkind congresswoman, also in a recurring role. They are not only reunited with Kripke for the series but also fellow ‘Timeless’ vet Malcolm Barrett (Rufus), who will reprise his Season 1 role as Vought International Public Relations writer Seth Reed.
They join The Boys – Billy Butcher (Karl Urban, ‘Star Trek’), Hughie (Jack Quaid, ‘The Hunger Games’), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso, ‘Detroit’), Frenchie (Tomer Capon, ‘Hostages’), and The Female (Karen Fukuhara, ‘Suicide Squad’); And The Supes of The Seven who are led by Homelander (Antony Starr, ‘Banshee’), with Starlight (Erin Moriarty, ‘Captain Fantastic’), Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott, ‘House of Cards’), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher, ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’), The Deep (Chace Crawford, ‘Gossip Girl’) and Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell, ‘Supernatural’).
In addition to the Season 1 cast, the supers are joined by Aya Cash (‘Fosse/Verdon’, ‘You’re the Worst’) who takes the role of “hero” Stormfront. Shantel VanSanten (‘Shooter’, ‘The Flash’), who had a guest-starring role in the ‘Timeless’ pilot, is also set to appear as Billy’s wife, Becca.
‘The Boys‘ Season 1 is available on Amazon Prime now (and I really urge you to go and watch!). Season 2 is expected to premiere in 2020.
