Iconic Drama ‘ER’ Coming To All 4 From Tomorrow For Your Binge-Watching Pleasure

Good news for fans of medical series, as All 4 lands an exclusive deal with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution to add the entirety of iconic US drama ‘ER’ to the streaming service. Season 1 will be available from Thursday, 19 September 2019, with new seasons added every Friday.

The multiple Emmy Award-winning ER explores the inner workings of a Chicago teaching hospital and the critical issues faced by the dedicated physicians and staff of its overburdened emergency room. These medical professionals remain determined to save lives in a place where nothing is taken for granted and nothing is certain … nothing except that another desperate person will be rushed through the emergency room door in the next moment, in need of their help.

Known for its large and diverse ensemble cast, the series originally starred Anthony Edwards as Dr. Mark Greene, George Clooney as paediatrician Dr. Doug Ross, Sherry Stringfield as Dr. Susan Lewis, Noah Wyle as medical student Dr. John Carter, Julianna Margulies as Nurse Carol Hathaway and Eriq La Salle as Dr. Peter Benton. Additional series stars included Laura Innes, Parminder Nagra, Goran Višnji?, Ming-Na Wen, Maura Tierney, Mekhi Phifer and Alex Kingston, amongst many others.

Combining the extraordinary talents of best-selling author Michael Crichton (‘Jurassic Park’) and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television with Peabody, Humanitas and Emmy-winning producer John Wells (‘The West Wing’, ‘Shameless’, ‘Animal Kingdom’), ‘ER’ broke new ground in television. Its frantic style – with fast-paced filmmaking capturing the life-and-death action – threw viewers into the heart of the high-octane emergency room.

First airing in the US on September 19, 1994, ER ran for 15 series and was nominated for more than 120 Emmy Awards. The series premiered in the UK on Channel 4 and was broadcast by the network throughout its run.

”We’re delighted to be bringing ER home to 4. One of the TV greats,” commented Charlie Palmer, Managing Editor for All 4. “The series remains every bit as impactful in the era of binge-viewing”.

Along with an impressive main cast, the series also features an all-star list of guest appearances from people such as Chris Pine, Don Cheadle, Zac Efron, Stanley Tucci, Lucy Liu, Ewan McGregor, Shia LaBeouf and Bradley Whitford, and boasted an impressive roster behind-the-camera, including a first series episode from Academy Award winner Quentin Tarantino.

‘ER’ Season 1 will be available on All 4 from Thursday, 19 September 2019, with new seasons added every Friday.
