Netflix has released the full trailer for the upcoming Martin Scorsese movie ‘The Irishman’, which premieres 27th November on Netflix, and features starring roles for Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, and Harvey Keitel, along with a host of other big names.

‘The Irishman’ is an epic saga of organized crime in post-war America told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran (De Niro), a hustler and hitman who worked alongside some of the most notorious figures of the 20th century. Spanning decades, the film chronicles one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in American history, the disappearance of legendary union boss Jimmy Hoffa (Pacino), and offers a monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organized crime: its inner workings, rivalries and connections to mainstream politics.

Alongside De Niro and Pacino, the film also stars Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, Ray Romano, Bobby Cannavale, Anna Paquin, Stephen Graham, Stephanie Kurtzuba, Jack Huston, Kathrine Narducci, Jesse Plemons, Domenick Lombardozzi, Paul Herman, Gary Basaraba, and Marin Ireland.

The screenplay for the film comes from Steven Zaillian (‘Schindler’s List’, ‘The Night Of’), who is having a busy week after it was also announced he would be adapting Patricia Highsmith Ripley novels into a tv series for Showtime, starring Andrew Scott. Martin Scorsese directs and produces, along with De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Irwin Winkler, Gerald Chamales, Gaston Pavlovich, Randall Emmett, and Gabriele Israilovici.

‘The Irishman’ will premiere in select UK cinemas on Friday, 8th November 2019 and land on Netflix, Wednesday, 27th November 2019.
