Silicon Valley returns this October, as Sky Atlantic sets an October premiere date for the 6th and final season of the high-tech comedy.

Created by Mike Judge, the series follows introverted computer programmer Richard Hendricks (Thomas Middleditch) and his start-up company Piped Piper, as he tries to navigate the choppy waters of the high-tech gold rush, along with fellow coders Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani), Gilfoyle (Martin Starr) and right-hand-man Jared (Zach Woods) as they attempt to debut their decentralised internet platform, PiperNet.

They’ve had to endure multiple legal battles, industrial espionage, countless funding debacles, numerous botched launches, pivot after pivot after pivot and several messy panic attacks, but the boys (and girl) of Pied Piper are finally out of beta as we reach the final seven-part season.

Now a major player in the industry, reluctant tech messiah Richard is now a legitimate player in Silicon Valley, having separated himself from his rivals with a commitment to a decentralised internet where user data will not be mined. However, staying true to your morals in an industry as cutthroat as this is no mean feat – especially with the insane amounts of money being dangled in front of him.

Meanwhile, faithful COO Jared finds himself feeling out of place at the new Pied Piper and misses his former role as Richard’s go-to guy. Longing for the past, he finds himself drawn back to the old incubator, now run by Big Head (Josh Brener) and Jian-Yang (Jimmy O. Yang).

Silicon Valley‘ Season 6 premieres Monday 28th October 2019 at 10.10pm on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
