‘Rick and Morty’ Season 4 Moved To November On E4

Good news UK Rick and Morty fans! After the British audience made their feelings clear on the previously announced January premiere date for Season 4, Channel 4 has shifted up the premiere date to Wednesday, 20th November 2019 on E4 instead!

“When we announced we would be airing Rick and Morty Series 4 on free to air TV in January we thought fans would be delighted,” commented Ian Katz, Director of Programmes at Channel 4. “Instead they told us – in their droves – that it wasn’t nearly soon enough, so we’ve listened and brought forward the UK premiere to November 20th on E4 and All 4. Enjoy!”

In response to huge demand from fans eager to get their fix of the highly anticipated new episodes as soon as possible, Rick and Morty Series 4 will now premiere in the UK on Wednesday 20th November 2019 on E4, less than two weeks after the US launch. It was previously scheduled to air on Channel 4 in January 2020.

Created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, the hilarious animation follows the adventures of alcoholic mad scientist Rick and his kind-hearted but easily distressed grandson, Morty, as they head across the universe and parallel dimensions, saving the world (or not), on various misadventures. The series was renewed in May 2018 for a staggering 70 episode run!

Split over two parts consisting of five episodes in each, ‘Rick and Morty’ Season 4 will air on E4 and episodes will be available to stream on All 4.

The new UK home for ‘Rick and Morty’ comes following the partnership deal Channel 4 made in January with Adult Swim to air their catalogue across Channel 4, E4 and All4. That also included shows such as ‘Robot Chicken’, ‘The Venture Bros’, ‘Aqua Teen Hunger Force’, and ‘The Eric Andre Show’.

Rick and Morty‘ Season 4 premieres Wednesday, 20th November 2019 at 10pm on E4 in the UK.
