It is December, which means two things. Firstly, there was very little tv news last week due to it being Thanksgiving in America, and the folk over there being on holiday stuffing themselves with turkey, mashed potatoes and other festive food. And secondly, it means we launch The Geektown Awards, giving you the opportunity to vote for your favourite tv shows, movies and games from the past 12 months, and be in with a chance to win a HUGE geeky prize!
To mark the official start of this year’s GTAs, we have the Geektown Awards Launch Podcast! Bex from Trista Bytes joins me to chat through the various award categories… and also reveal the shocking number of shows she really should have watched but hasn’t!
2019 has been a spectacular year for tv shows. From the dark miniseries such as ‘Chernobyl’ to the return of the ‘Rick and Morty’, and from the action of ‘Jack Ryan’ to the heartbreak of ‘New Amsterdam’, both new and returning series have been knocking it out of the park in the past 12 months. It’s also been a great year in gaming and movies too. Now we want to know what YOU think. The Geektown Awards gives you the chance to pick the shows you found yourself binge-watching until 3 am. Or the film you had to see so badly, you went to the midnight screening. Or the game you’ve played so much, you’re afraid to look at your ‘hours played’ stats.
