Sky One has picked up Cinemax crime action drama ‘Jett‘ to premiere in the UK the broadcaster has announced.
The series stars Carla Gugino (‘The Haunting of Hill House’, ‘Roadies’) as world-class thief Daisy “Jett” Kowalski. Fresh out of prison, she is forced back into doing what she does best, and a cast of morally ambivalent, dangerous and eccentric criminals, from budding femme fatales to compromised law enforcers, are determined to exploit her skills for their own ends.
The series also features Giancarlo Esposito (‘Breaking Bad’, ‘The Mandalorian’) as powerful crime lord Charlie Baudelaire, who offers Jett one last task in Cuba, reuniting her with a former flame, but setting off a chain of unexpected events that endangers everyone she cares for.
Additional cast includes Elena Anaya (‘Van Helsing’, ‘Wonder Woman’) as Maria, a Spanish woman who helps raise Jett’s daughter; Michael Aronov (‘The Americans’, ‘The Blacklist’) as as Jack “Jackie” Dillon, an ex-criminal who is now a detective; Gaite Jansen (‘Peaky Blinders’, ‘Line of Duty’) as Phoenix, a sweet-natured prostitute and friend of Jett; Chris Backus (‘Bosch’, ‘Roadies’) as as Miljan Bestic, an Eastern European criminal living in Cuba; Gil Bellows (‘Ally McBeal’, ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’) as Evans, an employee of Bestic; Jodie Turner-Smith (‘Nightflyers’, ‘The Last Ship’) as Josie, Dillon’s lover and co-worker; Gentry White (‘The Shannara Chronicles’, ‘UnREAL’) as Charles Junior, Charlie’s violent, unpredictable son; Violet McGraw (‘The Haunting of Hill House’) as Alice, Jett’s young daughter; Lucy Walters (‘Get Shorty’, ‘Power’) as Rosalie, a prison guard’s wife who is kidnapped; And Mustafa Shakir (‘Luke Cage’, ‘The Deuce’) as Rufus “Quinn” Quinton, Jett’s ex-lover and a safe-cracker.
