Apple TV+ has released a trailer for the upcoming drama ‘Defending Jacob‘, starring Captain America himself, Chris Evans, which premieres on the streaming service this April.
The limited drama series unfolds around a shocking crime that rocks a small Massachusetts town and one family in particular, forcing an assistant district attorney to choose between his sworn duty to uphold justice and his unconditional love for his son.
Alongside Evans, the series stars Michelle Dockery (‘Downton Abbey’, ‘Godless’), Jaeden Martell (‘Masters of Sex’), Cherry Jones (‘Transparent’, ’24’), Pablo Schreiber (‘Orange Is the New Black’, ‘American Gods’), Betty Gabriel (‘Counterpart’, ‘Good Girls Revolt’) and Sakina Jaffrey (‘Lost in Space’, ‘Timeless’).
‘Defending Jacob’ is produced by Paramount Television Studios and Anonymous Content, and created, written and executive produced by Mark Bomback, who also serves as showrunner. All eight episodes of the series are directed by Academy Award nominee Morten Tyldum (‘The Imitation Game’), who also serves as executive producer. Chris Evans stars and executive produces, alongside Rosalie Swedlin and Adam Shulman who executive produce for Anonymous Content.
‘Defending Jacob‘ premieres Friday, 24th April 2020 on Apple TV+.
