E4 has announced ‘Rick and Morty‘ Season 4, will return Thursday, 7th May 2020 at 10pm for the UK premiere of remaining 5 episodes of the series.
Following from brief return late last year, the remaining 5 episodes of Season 4 continue the adventures of alcoholic mad scientist Rick and his kind-hearted but easily distressed grandson, Morty, as they head across the universe and parallel dimensions, saving the world (or not), on various misadventures. In the first of the all-new episodes, Rick and Morty encounter an animal with magic powers during one of their adventures into outer space.
The series stars Justin Roiland (‘Adventure Time’), Sarah Chalke (‘Scrubs’), Chris Parnell (‘Saturday Night Live’), and Spencer Grammer (‘Greek’).
Created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, the series has become something of a phenomenon. It won 2018’s Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program, and was the number one comedy across all of television in 2017 with young adults, becoming a multi-platform sensation not just on television, but across digital, gaming, live streaming, retail, and fan experiences. Back in May 2018 the show was renewed for a staggering 70 episode run!
‘Rick and Morty’ airs on E4 following the partnership deal Channel 4 made in January 2019 with Adult Swim to air their catalogue across Channel 4, E4 and All4. That also included shows such as ‘Robot Chicken’, ‘The Venture Bros’, ‘Aqua Teen Hunger Force’, and ‘The Eric Andre Show’.
‘Rick and Morty‘ Season 4 part 2 premieres Thursday, 7th May 2020 at 10pm on E4.
