Sky Witness Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ 6th & Final Season

Sky Witness has set a June UK premiere date for the return of How to Get Away with Murder in the 6th and final season.

‘How To Get Away With Murder’ continues the story of Professor Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) and her associates and students who find themselves bound together by murder, deception, fear and guilt. Over the seasons, the series has used thought-provoking storytelling to bring societal issues to light, such as the right to a fair trial, racial inequalities in the justice system and mental illness.

For those of you needing a bit of a recap (obviously SEASON 5 SPOILERS BELOW), it began with Annalise winning in the Supreme Court and returning to teach at Middleton, with a new clinic set up at the offices of Caplan & Gold, under the new manager, Emmett Crawford. The gang had all moved into an old fraternity and were helping Laurel raise her baby, Christopher.

Michaela, Connor, Asher and Laurel start their third year at law school, and a new student, Gabriel Maddox joins the group in Annalise’s class. It turns out, Gabriel is actually the first child of Sam Keating, Annalise’s deceased husband, and his first wife Vivian Maddox, who came to Middleton for answers about his father and how he died.

Meanwhile, Asher gets an intern job working for ADA Ronald Miller, alongside Bonnie, whilst Annalise takes on the case of Nathaniel Lahey Sr, Nate’s dad, who has been serving time for murder. When Annalise manages to get a pardon for Nate Sr, he is murdered by his own prison guards during the transfer. This leads Nate and Bonnie to believe that Miller is responsible for organising the hit, and Nate ends up killing him during Connor & Oliver’s wedding. A murder which Bonnie helps cover-up…

We later discover that it was actually Xavier Castillo, Laurel’s brother, who organised the murder and was working with the Governor of Pennsylvania who is upset with Annalise over the class-action lawsuit. Annalise and Frank discover the truth but opt not to tell Bonnie and Nate so they don’t have the guilt of killing the wrong man.

The season ends with Laurel and Christopher being abducted by an unknown assailant, and Caplan & Gold boss Crawford has been poisoned and has collapsed on the floor of the office.

As the final reckoning begins, Annalise struggles with the toll that Laurel and Christopher’s disappearance has taken on everyone. Oliver, Frank and Bonnie disagree on the possible reasons behind Laurel’s disappearance, and Tegan handles the aftermath of Emmett’s apparent poisoning.

How to Get Away with Murder‘ Season 6 premieres Thursday, 4th June 2020 at 10pm on Sky Witness.
