Geektown Radio 257: ‘Warrior Nun’, ‘Alien Scumbags’ Reviews, ABC TV Pilots, Renewals & Cancellations, Plus UK TV Air Dates!

On the latest episode of the Geektown Radio podcast, I’m joined by Bex from TristaBytes (aka “Sneezy”, due to hay fever) in the co-host chair to chat about our week in tv, film and gaming, plus we have all the weekly tv news, renewals and cancellations.

Reviewing the last 7 days in tv, film and gaming, Bex has not only been playing, but also appearing in the new video game ‘Alien Scumbags’, which is a lovingly handcrafted 8-bit graphics action game, with a surprising amount of depth, and truckloads of sci-fi humour. She also chats about failing at classic video game ‘Asteroids’, which she’s been playing on Antstream Arcade, where you can get 50% off using the code “tristabytes”. I review new Netflix series ‘Warrior Nun’, along with giving my thoughts on the movie version of ‘Hamilton’, which is now on Disney+, and on playing the beta of video game ‘Starbase Startopia’.

In the TV news, it’s more renewals, cancellations and new US pilots, as ABC announces a string of new pilots it intends to shoot at some point before the end of the year. We also chat about the new ‘Fallout’ tv series coming from ‘Westworld’s Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy, the new NBC series ‘Debris’, and the return of ‘Bevis and Butt Head’.

On This Weeks Show:

  • I’m joined by Bex to review the movies, tv-series, and games we’ve been watching and playing over the past week.
  • We take a look at all the latest tv & film news, including all the renewals & cancellations.
  • We give you our recommendations for the upcoming TV in the next few weeks.
