Today during the DC FanDome panel, Zack Snyder has released the first full trailer for ‘Justice League’ #TheSnyderCut along with revealing how it will air.

The project will consist of four hours of superhero loveliness which will air on HBO Max in the US as four one-hour episodes. They are also working on ways of distributing the entire thing as a four-hour movie outside of HBO Max, meaning people that don’t have the service will be able to see it.

I’m sure most of you know the story, but for those of you that somehow missed the background, Zack Snyder was the original director of the film but stepped down following a family tragedy. This resulted in Joss Whedon taking the helm, and altering the direction of the movie. After some rather… negative feedback… on the release, rumours started to circulate that Snyder had his own cut of the film. This was later confirmed, and whilst it was missing some VFX and audio, it was a pretty complete version. On hearing this, fans (and also some of the movie’s stars) began to campaign to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut. Warner Bros resisted… until earlier this year when it was announced #TheSnyderCut of ‘Justice League’ would be released on HBO Max.

The film sees Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg join forces in the eagerly anticipated new version of the movie. In the trailer, we get shots of a revamped Steppenwolf, along with a little glimpse of Darkseid who takes his rightful place as the film’s main villain.

The ‘Justice League’ screenplay is by Chris Terrio, with story by Chris Terrio & Zack Snyder, based on characters from DC, Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The film’s producers are Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, with executive producers Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas, Jim Rowe, Ben Affleck, Wesley Coller, Curtis Kanemoto, and Chris Terrio.

We don’t yet know where the ‘Justice League #TheSnyderCut’ will land in the UK, as we don’t get HBO Max, but we’ll let you know when we hear something!
