Dwayne Johnson Reveals Which JSA Member Will Join Him On ‘Black Adam’ #DCFanDome

Dwayne Johnson took to the virtual DC FanDome stage today to chat about the upcoming feature film ‘Black Adam’, which is currently scheduled to be released at the end of 2021.

At the moment, they don’t have any actual footage to show, but they did put together some very cool animated concept drawings, which you can see below. The sequence included a voiceover from Black Adam, revealing his origin:

“5,000 years ago, Kahndaq was a melting pot of magic and powers. Most of us had nothing except the chains around our necks. Kahndaq needed a hero… instead, they got me. I did what needed to be done… and they imprisoned me for it. Now, 5000 years later, I’m free. And I give you my word… no one will ever stop me again.”

In addition to the tantalising visual and audio tease, Johnson revealed a number of DC’s Justice Society of America will be joining him on-screen – Hawkman, Atom Smasher, Cyclone and Doctor Fate. Whilst we have seen tv versions of some of these characters, this will be the first time they will have appeared on the big screen. The only character we know of that has been cast right now is Noah Centineo (‘The Fosters’, ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’) who takes the role of Atom Smasher, and joined Johnson virtually on the panel.

‘Black Adam’ is set to sit in the Zack Snyder part of DC’s Multiverse, and Johnson ended the panel with a message for those DC heroes… “Let them know something… things will never be the same hierarchy in the DC universe, it’s about to change.”
