Geektown Radio 265: ‘Stargirl’ Review, Bex Rants About ‘Powerpuff Girls’, TV News, Renewals & Cancellations, Plus UK TV Air Dates!

On this week’s episode of the Geektown Radio podcast, I’m joined by Bex from TristaBytes for a chat through our way through our week in tv, gaming & film, along with all the weekly tv news, renewals and cancellations.

Reviewing the last 7 days in tv & gaming, Bex has continued to scare herself whilst hiding in cupboards in ‘Alien Isolation’, and also been scaring herself with the rather disturbing imagery of ‘Minskies Furballs’ on Antstream. She also talks about her growing career as a gaming voiceover artist… so long as you need the voice of a spaceship… Meanwhile, I have completed season one of DC’s ‘Stargirl’, so I give my full review of that, and also discuss episode one of ‘Strike: Lethal White’, which returned to our TV screens this week.

In the TV news, we have all the usual renewals, cancellations and pickups, along with this week’s tv news. Stories this time around include details of Netflix’s upcoming ‘Resident Evil’ tv series, HBO working on an adaptation of Michael Crichton’s ‘Sphere’, and FOX creating an animated comedy spin-off to ‘The X-Files’. We also discuss The CW’s planned attempt to make a live-action version of ‘The Powerpuff Girls’… something Bex has some strong feeling about, so it gets a little ranty! Listen below!

On This Weeks Show:

  • I’m joined by Bex to review the movies, tv-series, and games we’ve been watching and playing over the past week.
  • We take a look at all the latest tv & film news, including all the renewals & cancellations.
  • We give you our recommendations for the upcoming TV in the next few weeks.
